Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine offers courses of study leading to the degree of Master of Science in Health Informatics. It is designed to train the current and future health informatics workforce in the development, dissemination, and evaluation of information technology as it relates to the management of healthcare information and data. Graduates of the program may pursue career paths such as in hospitals and health systems, health information technology system vendors, eHealth companies, healthcare insurers, pharmaceutical companies, and academic institutions. The program is focus in clinical informatics. The curriculum offers courses in the areas of applications of IT in health care settings, evaluation and management of HIT projects, cognitive science, and computer science.
This innovative distance program uses an online format enabling working professionals to earn their Master of Science in Health Informatics degree without career disruption. Selective courses are available via face-to-face format. Students may choose to complete the degree in both distance and or on campus. International students are encouraged to apply.

Certificates available include the Health Informatics Certificate, and the Public Health Informatics Certificate. The Public Health Informatics Certificate is a strong addition for  students that opt to complete their Master of Science in Public Health.
