IMIA joins their members from across the globe to celebrate International Women’s Day #BreakTheBias.
The International Medical International Informatics Association (IMIA) joins their members from across the globe to celebrate International Women’s Day, March 8th and applauds the 2022 theme #BreakTheBias.
As the International Associations of Associations of Medical and Biomedical Informaticians we echo the words of this years theme:
Imagine a gender equal world.
A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.
A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Together we can forge women’s equality.
Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
These words could not be more timely and relevant addressing so many of the current and ongoing global situations we continue to witness, and aligns with our most recent collaborative Appeal for Peace message with the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI) in support of our shared Ukraine Society for Medical Informatics (UACM) member.
We encourage individuals to visit IWD’s website – https://www.internationalwomensday.com – to learn more about the history and ongoing significance of this day and how to get more involved.
