July 09, 2023 (Geneva, Switzerland) – The International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics (IAHSI), is pleased to announcement the recent election of Dr. Siaw-Teng Liaw as Treasure for the Academy Board.

Dr. Liaw is a recognized clinical informatics practitioner, educator and researcher as indicated by invited papers, plenary presentations, consultancies, professional committees, and peer-review panels for national and international competitive grants and scientific conferences. Dr. Liaw’s digital health R&D program includes data analytics of observational data in EHRs, co-creation of integrated person centred eHealth care models and e-tools to improve clinical decisions, citizen/community engagement, access, equity, and social enterprise to improve individual and population health of vulnerable and underserved communities. He is the Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre on eHealth, the Chair, IMIA Primary Care Informatics WG; Member and Working Council of the Asia eHealth Information Network, and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Medical Informatics.

Dr. Liaw is an Inaugural Fellow of the Academy. “I am delighted to congratulate Teng on the recent approval of his nomination to serve as the Academy’s Treasurer,” said Dr. Kaija Saranto, President of IAHSI. “I look forward to collaborating with him in my remaining term as President and beyond.”
