Greek Biomedical and Health Informatics Association
Scope:
The Greek Biomedical and Health Informatics Association aims to evolve and promote the scientific field of Biomedical and Health Informatics. Biomedical and Health Informatics is the scientific discipline concerned with the systematic processing of data, information and knowledge in health care from humans’ molecules to citizens and to population. Its domain covers computational and informational aspects of processes and structures in health care. Its aim is to study all the applications of informatics and computer science in Health Sciences (Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Biology, and Pharmacy) and health care.
Activities:
The scientific Greek Biomedical and Health Informatics Association (GBHI) specializes in research, training and documentation of Biomedical and Health Informatics in terminology, documentation and standardization. Conferences, seminars, and other educational/training activities may be organized.
Members:
Members of GBHI can become individuals who have a special scientific interest in the evolving and study of Biomedical and Health Informatics.
Establishment:
The Association was first established by a court decision on 1999 as Health Informatics association and an amendment was endorsed in 2000. An amendment of 2010 revised the title of the association to Biomedical and Health Informatics association.
