The IMIA Nominations Committee is pleased to inform the IMIA Membership that the call for the 2023 – 2025 IMIA Board President Elect position is now open to those who are interested in proposing a candidate. Please note, that accepting the position of President-Elect will commit the candidate to a 6-year term on the Board of Directors (2 President Elect, 2 President, 2 Past President)

 

President Elect (2-year term 2023- 2025)

  • Current or past IMIA Board experience and/or significant MedInfo leadership role is a prerequisite
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to participating on the IMIA Executive Committee and IMIA Board meetings.   Currently the President Elect evaluates the next MedInfo bid timelines and documentation prior to the call for bids being announced.
  • Must be prepared to commit to sequential roles of President and Past President, an additional 4 years of service.

Nominations for this position must be made on behalf of an IMIA member society and must include:

  • accompanied by a letter of recommendation from the members National Society or Regional Representative that supports and clearly states the reasons for the nomination, taking into account the profile, expectations and skills related to the position as described is this invitation.
  • A CV of the nominee and short bio
  • A picture of nominee in jpg format

Terms for the positions will commence immediately following the closing ceremony for MedInfo 2023 in Sydney.

The deadline to submit a nomination is June 05, 2023 and must be addressed to the current chair of the IMIA Nominations Committee, Dr. Sabine Koch, IMIA Past President, and sent directly to IMIA’s CEO, Elaine Huesing at imia@imia-services.org

IMIA Society members will be asked to vote online (June 12 – 26) prior to the July 08, 2023 IMIA GA meeting in Sydney at MedInfo 2023.
